Pollution Control Packages

AMISTCO Pollution Control packages (APCP) for gas/liquid and liquid/liquid separations are customized for specific applications and customer requirements. Packages range from basic systems to those that are fully automated.

AMISTCO packaged systems are fully engineered, compact and modular. They can include:

• Pumps
• Blowers
• Instrumentation
• Pre-filters
• Alarms
• Other optional features

AMISTCO packaged Systems are suitable for the following applications:

• Removal of haze/opacity from tank vents, turbine exhausts and metal working ventilation
• Removal of liquid droplets from compressor systems, off-gas systems and knock-out drums
• Filter separators
• Liquid/liquid coalescers

Typical applications include:

• Oleum vent packages
• “Blue Haze” removal in asphalt vent systems
• Compressor stations
• Plasticizers

For submicron removal applications, AMISTCO is the technology licensee of Begg Cousland’s renowned candle filter (also known as fiber bed filters). Begg Cousland technology is based on the original research done by ICI and has proven itself over 30 years of world-wide experience. AMISTCO designs and manufactures these candle filters for the Western Hemisphere.

Where submicron mist removal is not required, AMISTCO standard mist eliminator packages can use mesh, vane and combination elements. These include knock-out drums, vent gas systems and compressor packages.


AMISTCO can design filter separators to remove aerosols and solid particles. Horizontal and vertical designs are available. Options include pre-filters, double pocket vanes and inlet diffusers.	AMISTCO also provides oil/water separators with effluent water purity as low as 10 ppm. Applications include power plants, marine spills and cleanup, bilge water and industrial wastewater treatment.
